Keeping Organized

Throughout this course you will be saving files that you create to Johnston's AD network file server. In order to keep your files organized, you will create folders for each of your classes. After that, whenever you create a file for this class or any other class, you should save that file in the corresponding folder. The videos below provide information and step you through this process.

You will be graded on proper creation of folders. A short quiz on file storage will also follow.

Follow These Steps

First, watch the video, "Creating Folders - Storage Devices," below to learn about storage devices on Johnston's computers.

Then, watch the second video, "Creating Folders - Make Your Own Folders," for directions on creating folders for each of your classes. Be sure to watch the videos in order. When finished, you should have created folders for each of your classes

When you are finished, you should have folders that look something similar to the list below. The folder names should be in the format "Px - Classname". For example, "P3 - Computers".
When you're done creating your folders, turn in the assignment on the next page, and then take the Creating Folders quiz.
